Longboards
High
Performance
High
performance long boards are thin and sensitive with low soft rails
and slight nose concave. A highly maneuverable long board with
short board qualities and nose riding capabilities. Double barrel with
a squash or round pin tail.
Nose
Rider
Has a wide nose with deep concave and extra tail rocker for tight
turns and long hangtime. Beveled nose rails on each side of the concave
are forgiving and allow climbing and dropping while trimming on the
nose.
Speed
Shape
Designed for down the line power surfing. The extended vee panel and
tucked under rail edges make it quick and responsive. Pulled in nose
and tail. Usually a round pin or baby squash tail.
Mini
Longboard
For the young and light weight surfer
who want to ride with the longboard
style. Proportionately designed for the 75 to 135lb. grom. Flat nose
rocker
for ease of paddling. 6'2" - 6'10".
Fun Boards
Fun
board
A cross between a long board and a short board. Paddling power of
a long board, yet retaining the performance qualities of a short board.
An “easy rider” for all occasions. Full outline. 6’4
- 7’10”.
Mini
Fun Board
This mini fun board is ideal for kids. I shaped this board for my
daughter of 7 yeards old. It offers easy paddling, stability and it
is easy to carry. 5'10" - 6’6”.
Fun Gun
Pulled in version of the Fun Board for big hollow days. Narrower tail
holds you in on the steep take offs and hollow sections. High performance
gun rocker. 6’8”-8’6"
Fin Set-ups
Tri Fin (longboard):
Bottom shape: Flat with vee beginning back 1/3 and peak between fins
and flat behind rear fin. The final sweep off the tail rocker beginning
at 22” up from tail to create a sweet spot for turning. Double
barrel between fins for speed.
Rails: Thin with a flatter deck which allows the volume
to be brought out to the rails or a mild dome with tapered soft rail.
The bottom edges
are tucked under and softened like a standard issue 6’2”.
Tail shape: Round squash or round pin. The outline accelerating in
synergy with fin placement.
Foil: Foiled out like a short board. Thin to thick to thin meant to
be driven and turned rather than trimmed, so the nose and tail taper
to reduce bulk and corkiness which shortens turning reaction time.
2+1 fin set up (longboard)
Tail and nose rocker: Noserider will have a flatter
nose with a kicked up tail 4-1/2”. The performance board has an
accelerated nose lift and 3-5/8” tail lift.
Bottom shape: More rolled vee rail to rail exetending
further up than the tri fin. Gives the board a softer, natural feel.
Allowing turns from
the forward position. Double barrel between the fins.
Rails: Same as tri fin set up but hard edge only after
the fins.
Tail shape: Squash or round pins is slightly pulled
after 12” to
compensate for the large single fin.
Foil: Same as the tri fin set up.
